Goyang Unveils 438 Job Projects to Lift 2026 Employment Rate to 67.7%

Goyang City set a 2026 target of a 67.7% employment rate and 554,654 employed people under a newly announced detailed jobs plan covering 438 projects.
The package spans four strategies—direct job creation, vocational training, employment services and governance—while channeling support into smart agriculture, floriculture, bio, drone and video industries.
160 million won will fund the new Goyang Customized Job School, which will train 75 people in logistics, building management and bio and link courses directly to hiring demand.
An 825-square-meter Gyeonggi-do Technical School Northern Campus is also due to open in June or July at Creation Innovation Campus Seongsa, with more than 80 trainees expected in the second half.
The city is pairing youth programs with tailored support for middle-aged workers and women returning to work as it tries to build a longer-term, locally tailored employment pipeline.
