Tuesday’s primaries in California, Iowa, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota drew a late burst of Trump endorsements spanning governor, Senate and House races.
California featured prominently: Trump backed gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton, plus House hopefuls James Gallagher, Jim Desmond and Kevin Lincoln, while also endorsing Reps. Tom McClintock, Jay Obernolte and Vince Fong.
Iowa endorsements included Rep. Randy Feenstra for governor and Rep. Ashley Hinson for Senate, extending Trump’s influence into two of the state’s highest-profile GOP contests.
New Jersey Reps. Tom Kean Jr., Jeff Van Drew and Chris Smith, Montana Rep. Troy Downing and candidate Aaron Flint, South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley and New Mexico’s Greg Cunningham also received Trump’s support.
