HyperOS 4, based on Android 17, is rumored to bring Xiaomi’s own Privacy Display later this year, with tipster Yogesh Brar saying the company is pursuing a software implementation.
That would mark a shift from earlier speculation that Xiaomi and other Android brands might copy Samsung’s hardware-based approach after the Galaxy S26 series spotlighted the feature.
