Nvidia shares closed up 6.2% at $224.34 after the company introduced RTX Spark, its first fully integrated consumer chip for Windows laptops and desktops.
RTX Spark combines Nvidia’s own CPU—built with MediaTek—and GPU technology to run local “personal AI agents,” games and creative software without relying on Intel or AMD processors.
Jensen Huang unveiled the chip at Computex in Taiwan, saying Nvidia and Microsoft aim to “reinvent the PC,” with systems from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI due this fall.
The launch reshaped chip stocks around the Windows PC market: Arm rose 15.7%, while Qualcomm fell 8.78%, Intel dropped 4.6% and AMD slipped 1.1%.
