Sam Levinson said he considered filming Cassie’s Season 3 storyline with no nudity, but Sydney Sweeney pushed back, arguing that an OnlyFans model could not be portrayed by “skirting around it.”
Levinson said the idea arose amid criticism that “Euphoria” used unnecessary nudity in its first two seasons, when the characters were still in high school.
SAG rules and intimacy coordinators govern those scenes, Levinson said, adding that actors who later withdraw consent cannot be forced to perform nude material.
Season 3’s approach appears tied to Cassie’s new OnlyFans arc, which Levinson said the show wants to depict as authentic, humorous and dramatic while protecting actors’ sense of safety.
