A half-mile curfew around Newark’s Delaney Hall detention center took effect at midnight Sunday, barring access from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. until further notice.
Doremus Avenue was also closed to pedestrians and all non-official traffic, with state police checkpoints set up after another night of tear gas, force and confrontations outside the ICE facility.
