One week before Peru's June 7 runoff, two polls put Keiko Fujimori narrowly ahead of Roberto Sanchez, with Ipsos showing 38% to 35% and Datum 39.8% to 35.9%.
The race remains highly fluid because 27% of voters in the Ipsos survey said they were undecided or planned to cast blank or invalid ballots, up 1 point from the prior poll.
Fujimori slipped 1 point in the latest Ipsos poll while Sanchez held steady, leaving the final stretch likely to hinge on voters choosing what Ipsos called the "lesser evil."
Both candidates are due to debate later Sunday in a contest to lead Peru for 2026-2031 after Fujimori won April's first round with 17% and Sanchez reached the runoff with 12%.
