Samsung Folds Lockdown Mode Into One UI 9 Power Menu in Beta 2

One UI 9 beta 2 automatically sends users to the lock screen when they open and exit the power menu, effectively triggering Lockdown mode without a separate button.
That change disables fingerprint and face unlock, blocks Smart Lock, hides lock-screen notifications, and requires a PIN or password to unlock, shut down, or reboot the device.
Samsung had shown Lockdown mode as an explicit option in One UI 8.5; in One UI 9, it removes that label and makes the protection the default behavior of the power menu.
The shift lowers the friction for a little-known security feature aimed at preventing forced or unauthorized biometric access, even though it no longer drops users straight back into their last app.
