Staff-Sergeant Adam Tzarfati, 20, of the Maglan commando unit was killed in a Hezbollah drone explosion in southern Lebanon, the IDF said Monday.
Three other soldiers were hit in the same attack—one severely and two lightly wounded—and were evacuated by helicopter for hospital treatment after their families were notified.
Tzarfati is the third Israeli soldier killed by a Hezbollah drone in the past five days, underscoring a sharp run of deadly strikes.
On Sunday, the IDF said another exploding Hezbollah drone killed Staff-Sergeant Michael Tyukin, 21, and lightly wounded four soldiers; an initial probe said the drone lacked night-vision equipment.
Army Radio said investigators are examining whether Hezbollah exploited a route the troops regularly used or navigated by full-moon light.
