Kohei Ikeda said on June 1 that he has left Bandai Namco Entertainment, ending a 19-year run in which he directed Tekken 7 and Tekken 8.
Murray now takes over Tekken 8 Season 3 after Ikeda had been leading the project following general producer Katsuhiro Harada's departure.
Ikeda joined Bandai Namco in 2007, started on Soulcalibur IV in 2008, later handled battle design for Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and became a central Tekken leader from Tekken 7 onward.
