AMD at Computex previewed EXPO Ultra Low Latency DDR5 kits for Ryzen systems, with June availability and automatic memory overclocking built into the new profile.
Up to 15% better 1% low FPS and 13% higher average FPS versus JEDEC DDR5 are the headline claims; AMD also says EXPO ULL beats current EXPO memory by about 4%.
EXPO 1.2 adds a ULL mode that AMD says can cut latency by 5-7ns versus a standard 6000 MT/s DDR5 kit, targeting smoother game performance through tighter timings.
AGESA 1.3.0.1 and 1.3.0.0 BIOS releases already include early support for DDR5 CUDIMM and ULL on AM5 boards, though AMD says full CUDIMM support will arrive with Zen 6 and newer AM5 motherboards.
Is AMD’s new memory tech a real upgrade now, or just an empty promise until Zen 6 arrives?
How will new 'clocked' CUDIMMs give AMD's future Zen 6 CPUs a critical performance advantage?
