A single May 31 session in Bacolod dedicated the Bacolod Philippines Temple, with the service broadcast across the Negros and Panay islands and later rebroadcast with Hiligaynon translation.
The new temple is the Philippines' third dedication of 2026, doubling the country's number of dedicated temples to six and adding to a church membership of more than 905,000.
More than 37,000 people attended the open house, supported by 3,799 volunteers, as local officials, faith leaders and residents toured the site from April 16 to May 2.
For local members, the temple sharply cuts travel time: youth trips to Cebu City had taken up to 10 hours each way, but Bacolod leaders said baptisms can now happen weekly.
Andersen tied the dedication to Bacolod's church pioneers from the 1960s and said the expanding temple network should deepen covenant worship, family sealings and discipleship across the Philippines.
