Just before 8 p.m., Sandy police arrested a suspect who had barricaded inside a house, ending a shelter-in-place order issued after a domestic disturbance turned into a deadly shooting.
Around 4 p.m., Sandy officers and Clackamas County deputies responding near Ross Avenue and Evans Street came under gunfire and returned fire, Police Chief Patrick Huskey said.
One Sandy officer was shot multiple times and hospitalized with serious injuries but is expected to survive; police said multiple other victims died.
