Taylor Frankie Paul, 32, posted a photo showing a large bruise and said she has started EMDR therapy, calling it an intense but effective treatment for PTSD and trauma.
On Instagram, Paul said the “psychological torture” hurt her more than the physical abuse and left her feeling like “a shell of a human” after her relationship with Dakota Mortensen.
Earlier in May, she said she had lived in “survival mode for years” and alleged she was love-bombed, manipulated, threatened and physically hurt when she tried to leave.
The fallout has already spilled into court: Paul and Mortensen were granted mutual protective orders, Mortensen has temporary custody of their 2-year-old son, and another hearing is set for June 1.
The dispute drew wider attention after ABC pulled Paul’s Bachelorette season in March over resurfaced footage from a 2023 domestic violence case in which she later pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
