Towns said he hunted for Lin jerseys at Modell's and called Lin one of his favorite Knicks and players, adding that seeing Lin mention him on social media felt surreal.
His comments come as Towns, Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart have pushed New York into its first NBA Finals since the 1998-99 season.
