A competitor at the 2026 Official NBHA Las Vegas Super Show was removed and placed with authorities after horse mistreatment was reported early Saturday in Las Vegas.
NBHA said it coordinated its response with Metro Police, South Point Hotel & Casino and other parties, calling the case an isolated incident with no ongoing threat.
South Point said the incident occurred in the barns of its Equestrian Center and that all horses involved were safe.
Las Vegas police are investigating, while South Point said it is fully cooperating and NBHA said steps were taken to protect the horses' well-being.
