Las Vegas Police Arrest Teen Over 3 Horses Injured at 2026 NBHA Event

Three horses were found intentionally wounded with a sharp object around 2:07 a.m. Saturday at the South Point Equestrian Center during the 2026 NBHA Professional’s Choice Las Vegas Super Show.
LVMPD detectives identified a teenage girl who had access to the barn area and believe she may have used a knife to inflict multiple injuries before officers found her in a nearby hotel.
Police took her into custody without incident and booked her into Clark County Juvenile Hall on 12 animal-cruelty counts involving horses and three felony malicious-destruction charges over $5,000.
NBHA said the suspect was an event competitor who was removed and handed to authorities, while South Point said all horses are safe, though the injuries are expected to keep them from competing.
