The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced 29 stake presidency changes worldwide, including four newly created stakes in Ecuador, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Utah.
The new stakes were organized between Feb. 8 and March 22 from existing stakes in Otavalo, Eket, Lubumbashi and Saratoga Springs, each with a newly named president and two counselors.
The 25 reorganized stakes span Africa, Latin America, the Philippines and the United States, with changes dated from Feb. 22 through April 19.
U.S. reorganizations included stakes in Idaho, Massachusetts, Oregon, Texas, Kentucky, Hawaii and multiple Utah stakes, while international changes reached Madagascar, Zambia, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Congo.
The update reflects the church’s continuing global leadership reshuffle at the stake level, a key regional unit overseeing multiple wards and branches.

With missionary work yielding record converts, what is the strategy to ensure these new members remain active long-term?
