Apple’s standard iPhone 18 is now expected in March or April 2027, months after Pro models tipped for September 2026, signaling a staggered launch for the lineup.
Leaked specs point to a 2nm A20 chip, 12GB of RAM and Apple’s in-house C2 modem, upgrades aimed at faster performance, better multitasking and improved power efficiency.
The standard model is also said to share key parts with the lower-cost iPhone 18e, including the A20 and possibly the battery system, suggesting Apple is streamlining production across tiers.
Other reported changes include a brighter display, a smaller Dynamic Island, a 24MP front camera, upgraded rear sensors, possible 3x lossless zoom and a redesigned camera control button.
If accurate, the leaks suggest Apple is pairing hardware gains with a new release strategy that could reshape how it spaces launches across future iPhone models.
