FaceTime offers two missed-call options: a video message after an unanswered video call and Live Voicemail after an unanswered FaceTime audio call.
Video messages appear only once a FaceTime video call times out, then show up in the recipient's FaceTime call history with a playable thumbnail and notification.
Live Voicemail must first be enabled in iPhone settings; after a missed FaceTime audio call, callers can leave an audio message that may generate a live transcript and is stored in the Phone app's Voicemail inbox.
