Hasan Piker said at a New Jersey protest that activists tied to Neville Roy Singham are “wonderful people” and that scrutiny of his March Cuba trip is misplaced, adding he has not been served any subpoena.
OFAC sent administrative subpoenas seeking financial, logistical and communications records about the convoy, which included Piker, Code Pink and a network of 145 organizations protesting U.S. sanctions on Cuba.
Piker said he has no personal contact with Singham, even as he acknowledged knowing some people in the network that Fox News Digital reported has received $285 million from the tech millionaire since 2017.
The comments came outside the Delaney Hall ICE detention protest in Newark, where Singham-linked activists have been tied to anti-ICE demonstrations in Minneapolis, New York, Los Angeles and New Jersey.
Piker cast the federal inquiry as a Trump administration crackdown on political activism, underscoring how the influencer with millions of followers is becoming a higher-profile figure in left-wing organizing.
