Kherkher Garcia filed suit May 29 for resident Onecimo Ponce Mendoza, alleging Atmos Energy failed to monitor the apartment complex and warn tenants before the Dallas explosion.
Mendoza says he woke to a loud noise, found the roof caved in and escaped with his roommate through fire and smoke, suffering severe burns, smoke inhalation and other serious injuries.
