Arduboy FX-C Launches With 300-Plus Games and USB-C Upgrade

A credit card-sized Arduboy FX-C has arrived as the latest version of the tiny handheld, shipping with a built-in library of more than 300 free games and apps.
The refresh expands on the 2020 Arduboy FX by using a larger flash chip for more storage and replacing the older microUSB port with USB-C.
Hardware remains deliberately minimal — a 1.3-inch monochrome OLED, six buttons, an ATmega32u4 chip and 2.5KB of RAM — pushing developers toward simple, experimental games.
That stripped-down design still supports a broad mix of genres, from shooters and dungeon crawlers to racing games, though the device is best suited to short pick-up-and-play sessions.
One headline feature is not fully ready: USB multiplayer still appears unreliable and requires pricier USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt cables, with the feature still in development.
