ESPN now ranks Otega Oweh as the No. 57 NBA draft prospect, pushing him into the 60-pick conversation less than a month before the June 23-24 draft.
Thirty-eight players withdrew by Wednesday’s deadline to return to college, thinning the draft pool as NIL and revenue-sharing money made another NCAA season more lucrative for borderline prospects.
Oweh also helped his case at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, and recent mock drafts place him in the second round — No. 43 to Brooklyn on On3 and No. 39 to Houston on Tankathon.
Sacramento, which holds picks No. 34 and 45, is scheduled to work Oweh out Friday, offering another chance to solidify a spot as more two-round mocks are released.
