Hannah Einbinder used a Los Angeles red-carpet interview after the “Hacks” finale to endorse Nithya Raman for mayor and urge voters to resist Spencer Pratt’s campaign.
Einbinder said some wealthy Angelenos back Pratt while “masquerad[ing] as Democrats,” arguing money drives support for the reality-TV star, whom she noted is endorsed by Donald Trump.
Spencer Pratt, who has gained attention after losing his home in the L.A. wildfires and challenging incumbent Karen Bass, fired back on X that Einbinder is insulated from street-level problems and that voters want change.
Einbinder called her choice of Raman over Rae Huang “pragmatic” rather than ideal, and widened the focus to City Council races, saying the council’s budget vote makes those contests crucial too.
