Google has restored the Pixel Watch Find My Phone feature after a bug caused the app to crash back to the watch face on tested 41mm Watch 3 and 45mm Watch 4 units.
The fix now makes Find My Phone work again from both quick settings and app drawer shortcuts, while users can still ask Gemini to locate their phone as a workaround.
The ECG app is still failing on some Pixel Watch devices, opening and then showing a “Reopen the app and try again” error; the issue appeared on a tested Watch 4 but not one Watch 3.
The problems surfaced only in the past few days despite the last major Pixel Watch software update arriving in March 2026, pointing to a likely app-level bug rather than a full system update.
