New GPS data from Brian Hooker’s phone has redirected the search for missing Michigan woman Lynette Hooker to a different area of the Sea of Abaco and back to the couple’s sailboat, Soulmate.
U.S. officials plan to pull the Florida-docked boat from the water and move it to a warehouse, where investigators will comb it for clues and extract digital devices and onboard computer systems.
The Bahamian government has approved a U.S. dive team to search the new water zone for Lynette’s body or other evidence tied to her disappearance last month.
Lynette vanished during an April Bahamas trip after the couple were reportedly returning by dinghy to their home boat; Brian Hooker was detained and later released, and he has not been charged.
Her husband's phone GPS tells a different story. What will divers now find in the new search location?
He claimed it was a tragic accident, then left the country. Is he a grieving husband or a prime suspect?
