  • A 799bhp Clubsport Edition capped at 99 units headlines AC’s new Cobra Coupé range, which enters production in 2027 ahead of its official May 29 unveiling.
  • The £399,000 two-seater is a fixed-roof spin on the 2024 Cobra Roadster, sharing 75% of its parts and using a Ford-sourced 5.0-litre V8 with 450bhp, 720bhp and 799bhp outputs.
  • Rear-wheel drive comes through either a Tremec six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic, while all versions use double-wishbone suspension, an aluminium chassis and a full carbonfibre body.
  • At 1.98 metres wide, the Coupé was engineered to meet road-car rules across multiple regions; AC said a narrower design would have left it track-only in many markets.
  • Chairman Alan Lubinsky cast the model as a step toward making AC a global brand, with more in-house production after the company bought Sussex-based Green Tech Automotive.
