Apple’s status pages showed an Apple Music outage starting at 11:40 a.m. ET, with disruptions reported in the U.S., Japan, India, France and several other countries.
Apple labeled the problem an “outage” rather than a lesser “issue,” saying some users were affected and could face intermittent service problems rather than a full global shutdown.
Downdetector also logged user reports, though complaint volumes were trending lower as the disruption continued.
The incident is at least Apple Music’s third outage in two months, after another partial disruption previously lasted more than a day.
