Google Fiber and Williamson Inc. opened a new Franklin service area on May 27 at The Factory at Franklin, where the project was first launched in January 2025.
Fiber lines already reach The Factory and nearby neighborhoods, and Google Fiber said service will spread further across the city later this year.
A majority of businesses at The Factory have already signed up, according to Google Fiber, which cited strong early demand and said Honest Coffee Roasters connected multiple locations.
Google Fiber said its core plan has stayed at $70 a month since 2012 and will remain at that level for the foreseeable future as it seeks a long-term presence in Franklin.
The rollout also includes local outreach: Google Fiber will co-sponsor the Factory Farmers Market this summer with rotating promotions for nearby businesses.
With its huge upcoming merger, can GFiber keep its long-standing promises to new towns?
