Cain Velasquez said he is content to never fight again, stressing any comeback would require a purse so large that he does not believe anyone would offer it.
At 43 and inactive since 2019, the former UFC heavyweight champion said he is realistic about what level he could still perform at and dismissed talk of a target opponent.
American Kickboxing Academy work also is unlikely to pull him back in; Velasquez said even coaching no longer interests him enough to re-enter the sport.
His comments follow a brief public appearance at ceremonial weigh-ins that had fueled comeback speculation, despite his last bout ending in a 26-second knockout loss to Francis Ngannou.
Velasquez was paroled in February after serving 10 months in prison following a no-contest plea to attempted murder in a case involving a man accused of molesting his son.
