A second poll put Xavier Becerra ahead in California’s governor’s race, reinforcing his status as the candidate to beat after months in the lower tier.
April’s collapse by Eric Swalwell helped propel Becerra to the front, and the new survey found he leads among voters who have not yet returned their ballots.
