February 2027 is Microsoft’s new release target for Playground Games’ Fable reboot, pushed back from autumn 2026 after an earlier move from 2025.
June 7 will still bring a “major new look” at Fable at the Xbox Games Showcase, but Xbox chief content officer Matt Booty said the event will include no Project Helix console update.
November 19’s Grand Theft Auto VI, October 23’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and October 6’s Star Wars: Galactic Racer are crowding the holiday slate Microsoft cited in shifting Fable.
Helix news is now deferred despite Microsoft saying earlier this month it would share more about the next-generation Xbox later in 2026, while the showcase is expected to pin down dates for Halo and Gears titles.
