Mike Fischer told Sega-16 that Yuji Naka seriously proposed naming 2003 platformer Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg "Giant Cock" in English because the hero wore a rooster suit.
Fischer said the fight began with Naka's push for egg-centric titles, including "Giant Eggs," while Sega's U.S. team argued that "laying a big egg" signaled failure and that Billy Hatcher should foreground the boy.
The former Sega VP used the anecdote to portray Naka as difficult to work with, calling him "the most miserable person" he had encountered and saying witnesses could back the naming story.
The remarks extend Fischer's broader criticism of Naka a day after he accused the Sonic co-creator of taking undue credit for Sonic; Naka also remains under a suspended 2.5-year sentence from a 2023 insider-trading conviction.
