Trump Mobile Meta Title Still Claims T1 Is American-Made as 27,224 Preorder Entries Face Scrutiny

Trump Mobile’s website still labels the T1 a “Premium American-Made Smartphone” in a meta title, a marketing claim that remains visible in browser tabs and search results.
FTC Made in USA rules reserve “American-made” for products that are all or virtually all made domestically, while Trump Mobile has already shifted its public wording to say the phone is only assembled in the US.
The company has not clarified where the T1 is actually manufactured and did not respond to a request for comment, leaving the claim at odds with its own admission that key components are not US-sourced.
Separate scrutiny of last week’s data breach found 27,224 preorder entries, but the site created a new entry before payment, suggesting the true number of paid $100 preorders was likely lower.
Only a handful of T1 devices have surfaced publicly so far, with one possible regular-buyer shipment still unconfirmed as the phone’s rollout remains opaque.
