Stephanie Pratt said she now supports brother Spencer Pratt's Los Angeles mayoral campaign, reversing months-old attacks that called a vote for him a "vote for stupidity."
In an email to Vanity Fair, she said he had spent every day since the fires uncovering "facts, mistakes" and "negligence," and said her shift was driven by concern that "LA ... needs help."
Her earlier, since-deleted February X posts had cast him as unqualified, accused him of chasing fame to sell a memoir, and referenced a past family assault.
With less than a week before the primary, Spencer Pratt has emerged as an anti-establishment contender trailing incumbent Karen Bass by single digits in a tight race that also includes council member Nithya Raman.
Pratt launched his bid in January on the first anniversary of losing his home in the Palisades Fire, and has since drawn celebrity backing from Paris Hilton, Dennis Quaid, Katharine McPhee and David Foster.
