Ty Simpson said he "didn't really care" about the backlash after the Rams used the No. 13 pick on a quarterback despite already having reigning MVP Matthew Stafford.
Doubts centered on Los Angeles passing over a more immediate contributor for a roster viewed as still capable of another Super Bowl push with Stafford.

Simpson framed the landing spot as an advantage, citing the chance to learn from Stafford, coach Sean McVay and star receivers Davante Adams and Puka Nacua.
