Emergency crews were called to Churchyard Row in Elephant and Castle at 07:29 BST on Wednesday after reports that people had fallen from a high-rise block.
A man, a woman and a child were found at the scene and pronounced dead despite resuscitation attempts by police, ambulance, air ambulance and fire crews.
Metropolitan Police said the deaths are being treated as unexpected, with no other injuries reported.
Formal identification work is under way, and the victims' next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
