ZDNET Picks MyRadar as Top Android Auto Weather App With $4 Route Forecasting Feature

A week of testing led ZDNET to rank MyRadar above Android Auto’s other weather options, citing deeper storm-tracking tools and a route-based forecast feature.
MyRadar’s standout advantage is RouteCast, which projects weather along an entire trip rather than only at the driver’s current location; it costs $4 a month or $30 a year after a free 3-day trial.
Weather & Radar was the other main full Android Auto option ZDNET found, offering hourly and daily forecasts, radar layers for rain, snow, wind and lightning, and a cleaner split-screen experience with Maps.
Android Auto’s built-in Weather option was judged far more limited because it mainly hands off to Gemini for basic high-low temperatures and simple rain timing instead of full in-car radar analysis.
