  • Tuesday strikes in Khan Yunis and Gaza killed Ihab Khrizim, accused of channeling millions of dollars to Hamas’s military wing, and Mohammed Odeh, a newly elevated commander tied to the Oct. 7, 2023 attack.
  • The IDF said Khrizim kept moving money despite the ceasefire, enabling imminent plots against Israeli troops in Gaza and civilians in Israel, and called his death a setback to Hamas’s efforts to rebuild.
  • Odeh had led Hamas’s intelligence unit during the Oct. 7 assault and was appointed about a week ago to replace Izz al-Din al-Haddad, who was killed in an Israeli strike on May 15.
  • Israel also said it killed weapons-maker Mohammed al-Habash; Odeh died with his wife and two children, and mourners at a Gaza City funeral on Wednesday fired gunshots as Eid al-Adha approached.
