Computex 2026 will feature Mediatek’s Filogic 8800 as the company’s main Wi-Fi 8 showcase, alongside demonstrations tied to 6G and edge computing.
The back-compatible chipset is designed to lift next-generation wireless performance while improving link stability on older Wi-Fi standards, broadening its appeal beyond new networks.
At peak output, Filogic 8800 is expected to raise system throughput by about 200% and cut file-download times with speeds up to 50% faster.
The chip also bundles a smart Wi-Fi toolkit, including optimization features such as AI Network D, underscoring Mediatek’s push to add software-driven network management to its connectivity hardware.
