Amazon Cuts 2021 Kindle Paperwhite to $99.99, Undercutting $159.99 New Model

$99.99 gets buyers Amazon’s 2021 Kindle Paperwhite at Woot through June 14, or while supplies last, with ads, 16GB of storage and a 90-day Woot warranty.
The discount takes $40 off the original price and makes the older Paperwhite cheaper than Amazon’s latest entry-level Kindle while still offering a 6.8-inch display and waterproofing.
That older model retains most of the features that keep the current Paperwhite highly rated, including a 300ppi screen, adjustable warm front light, USB-C charging and months-long battery life.
Amazon’s latest Paperwhite costs $159.99 and adds slightly better performance, battery life and a 7-inch display, leaving the 2021 version positioned as the stronger value buy under $100.
