Boy George, 64, collected both the lifetime achievement award and music artist of the year at the British LGBT Awards in central London.
Jean Paul Gaultier presented the surprise lifetime honor, which organizers said recognized the Culture Club singer's contribution to British musical culture and his role in challenging gender stereotypes.
The double win came after a recent Eurovision setback, where Boy George appeared on San Marino's entry but did not reach the final.
At the ceremony, also hosted by Ruby Wax and Tom Read Wilson, Kate Winslet won an advocate award and Stephen Libby took media moment of the year.
