Consensuality Inc. launched a GoFundMe with a $30,000 target to rebuild the Orgy Dome for this year’s Burning Man after high winds destroyed the structure before the 2025 festival.
The nonprofit says the biggest costs are $25,000 for a 50-foot geodesic dome, $5,500 for a 50-foot waiting-area tent and $3,000 for a 30-foot orientation and consent tent.
Another $10,000 is needed for weatherproofing, sound engineering and volunteer shade-structure repairs, while camp members will separately cover supplies such as sheets, laundry, power and safer-sex materials.
The Orgy Dome has operated for more than 20 years and draws about 10% of Burning Man attendees each year, making its return a notable part of the festival’s 2026 preparations.
As Burning Man faces financial strain, can crowdfunding save its most infamous attraction from nature's wrath?
