Mauricio Umansky, 55, said on Tomi Lahren’s show that he has thought about running for Los Angeles mayor “in a few years” and believes he could help the city.
He tied that possibility to frustration with Mayor Karen Bass’s leadership, citing crime, homelessness, housing strain and an exodus from Los Angeles that he said demands more “common-sense” government.
Umansky also defended current mayoral hopeful Spencer Pratt after Lisa Rinna said Los Angeles should not elect a “reality star,” calling that stance hypocritical because she still would not endorse Bass.
Census data cited in the interview showed Los Angeles County lost 53,000 residents between 2024 and 2025, underscoring the broader pressure on city leaders ahead of the June 2 mayoral vote.
