Florida landed at No. 1 and Duke at No. 2 in Andy Katz’s 2026-27 Power 44 after the NBA Draft withdrawal deadline clarified most college basketball rosters.
Three Florida draft candidates—Alex Condon, Thomas Haugh and Rueben Chinyelu—stayed in school, while Duke paired key returners with Wisconsin transfer John Blackwell and the nation’s No. 2 freshman class.
Michigan opened at No. 3 despite losing its top three players to the draft, with Illinois No. 4 after Andrej Stojaković withdrew and Tennessee No. 5 following a portal-heavy rebuild.
UConn ranked No. 6 but was held back by Solo Ball’s season-ending hand injury, while Michigan State rose to No. 7 after Jeremy Fears withdrew from the draft.
Texas, Vanderbilt and Louisville rounded out the top 10, with Louisville boosted by No. 1 transfer Flory Bidunga’s late draft withdrawal.
