Kansas authorities charged former corrections employee Jonah K. Bundy with two counts of unlawful sexual relations after investigators uncovered an alleged relationship with an inmate; he is due in court June 1.
The inmate told investigators she sent Bundy a Facebook friend request in December 2025 while housed at the Sedgwick County Adult Residential and Work Release Facility in Wichita, where he worked the third shift.
Texts between them were described as sexual, and the inmate said Bundy picked her up from work, took her to a restaurant and later had sex with her at his house; they allegedly considered themselves boyfriend and girlfriend.
Investigators said Bundy knew the relationship was illegal, with jail calls and emails allegedly showing he said he loved her, would go to jail for her and wished there were conjugal visits.
Authorities learned of the relationship in January, arrested Bundy in March and have now moved the case toward a June 1 court appearance.
