TMZ reported Claude Lemieux died by suicide after the NHL Alumni Association announced Thursday that the four-time Stanley Cup champion had died at 60.
Florida authorities found Lemieux at a family-owned business, the outlet said, days after he carried the torch at Montreal's Bell Centre before Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.
Lemieux built one of hockey's strongest playoff resumes, winning Cups in 1986, 1995, 1996 and 2000 while posting 379 goals and 786 points in 1,215 NHL games.
After retiring in 2009, he became a certified player agent representing NHL players including Frederik Andersen and Moritz Seider; he is survived by his wife and four children.
