Playlist folders have reached Spotify’s iPhone and Android apps for the first time, extending a desktop-only feature to mobile users worldwide.
Global updates also add bulk in-playlist editing for tracks, audiobooks and podcast episodes, while Premium users regain the ability to manage multiple songs in the queue at once.
Premium subscribers on iOS are getting background downloads, letting music and podcasts keep downloading when the app is closed and showing progress notifications.
A new one-tap reshuffle button for Premium mobile users rounds out the rollout, giving playlists a fresh shuffle order without turning shuffle off and on.
