Acer’s new Aspire Go 15 becomes one of the first laptops built on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon C platform, pairing 512GB of storage with 8GB of RAM in an entry-tier Windows 11 design.
Qualcomm says Snapdragon C systems will start at $300, part of a push into cheaper Windows laptops as PC makers respond to Apple’s low-cost MacBook Neo and Intel’s rival budget platform.
The Aspire Go 15 adds dual full-function USB-C ports, HDMI, a 1080p webcam and a 53Wh battery, but Acer gave no launch date and Qualcomm has said Snapdragon C will not support Copilot+.
Acer also introduced the Swift Spin 14 AI convertible with Snapdragon X2 Elite or X2 Plus chips, up to 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD and 80 TOPS, targeting a higher-end tier.
That model is slated for July in EMEA, August in North America and Q3 in Australia, underscoring Acer’s two-pronged Qualcomm lineup from budget Arm laptops to premium AI PCs.
Can Qualcomm's $300 laptop finally break the curse of slow, cheap Windows machines?
Will using older chips leave these new budget laptops instantly obsolete in the AI race?
